Merry Christmas! Typically you would think "let it snow" or "the weather outside is frightful" around the Holidays, but when the midwest weather brings 58 degrees and sun, why not go floating...on Christmas Day! My dad, some friends and a deer headed to the river (see below). The water was clear and absolutely beautiful for this winter float. We discovered some homes and bluffs that are normally hidden during the summer when the trees sway in their leafy glory.

Update: The USGS reported 5ft average of water the day of our float (12/25/15). This was before the winter monsoon hit the day after Christmas and the river crested yesterday (12/28/15) at 36ft. This has caused a lot of flooding and damage along the river and into Table Rock Lake and Taneycomo.
