Sycamore and Pine

So long sweet December.
I am dreading taking down our Christmas decorations because of the bareness that is once again exposed. However, there might be once piece I don't remove...
the strand of lights above our bed?
But, this might take a list of reasons why the lights are beneficial to my everyday life just simply to convince Jackson they should in fact stay.

As random as this post is going to be with the photos above and the thoughts I have already wrote, might as well keep going. So... my dad cut down some pretty sycamore stumps that I could use to decorate in my house. I haven't quite figured out what I am going to do with them just yet. Maybe use them as a side coffee table, or put a lamp on them, or attach a cushion to the top and use them as chairs?
I guess these stumps could help combat the awkward bareness left in our home.

On second thought, I might just leave up the cone trees as well! I am loving my cone trees! As a part of our Christmas day with my parents, we decided to each bring a craft to make from Pinterest. I decided to make cone trees with ribbon, moss and acorns! Here is where the idea came from. Overall, it was easy, fun and a lot of "ouches" from the hot glue gun.

Enough procrastinating, time to start de-decorating!
