Campbell 25 Days Until Christmas

For a fun December activity that my husband and I could do together, I put together
a "25 Days Until Christmas" countdown. You can see one of our
fun activities found inside day 10 here.

The countdown board was very easy to put together. It took about an hour to decorate, hang and fill with lots of goodies!

Since it was so easy, and has brought laughter and exciting outings to the days leading up to Christmas, I decided to share with you
how to make your own 25 days until Christmas countdown board!

Supplies (that I used):
a6 envelopes
chipboard pieces
string
hot glue gun
martha stewart craft glue (bought mine at hobby lobby
sharpie
scissors
ruler
doilies
assorted colored ink pads (I used brown, green & red)
note cards
cork board
push pins

Optional:
size of envelopes
heavy books

step one- Take the a6 envelopes and glue the back flap shut with your martha stewart craft glue, put envelope under a heavy book so the envelope does not wrinkle.

step two- Once the glue has dried, ink pad the outer edges of the front side of each envelope

step three- Turn over each envelope and use the point of the flap as the half-way mark. Draw a line up and down, this will be the line you use to cut the envelopes in half.

step four- Decorate! Here is where you get to be creative and add some string, chipboard, glitter, doilies, ribbon, whatever you choose!

step five- Lay out all the envelopes the way you will be hanging them on the cork board. Since I had doilies on a few envelopes, when I placed them next to each other they took up more room than if they were separated.

step six- Number each envelope on your chipboard pieces.

step seven- Use push pins and hang each envelope on your cork board.

step eight- Create messages on your note cards to fill each envelope. I have listed a few of our messages below:
hang christmas decorations
pick up a $1 movie at red box
make cookies together
make hot chocolate and drive around looking at christmas lights
watch christmas vacation
christmas shopping
pick one chore we each need to do and switch
Jackson play his guitar and sing christmas songs together by the tree

step nine- Enjoy!
